long-term care facility The primary responsibility of this job position is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during your tour of duty in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Essential duties include administrative functions such as assisting the Director of Nursing Services, developing and maintaining policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with nursing procedures, attending committee meetings, managing personnel including work assignments and performance evaluations, providing direct nursing care, participating in staff development and in-service training, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, managing equipment and supplies, developing care plans, and participating in budget and planning functions. The position requires a nursing degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 2 years experience preferably in long-term care, current RN licensure, CPR certification, and the ability to work in office and nursing service areas while managing multiple responsibilities including resident care, staff supervision, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
