The LPN Charge Nurse makes observations on an advanced level, report and records observations appropriately, forms nursing judgments and carries out nursing actions based upon understanding of the scientific principles involved. Essential functions include supervising and providing nursing care in compliance with facility policies, making observations and records, following nursing standards, performing daily rounds, developing care plans, managing medications, making nursing assignments, monitoring diets, following admissions procedures, supervising nursing assistants, communicating professionally, documenting resident information, adhering to resident rights guidelines, and ensuring resident safety and compliance with policies.
