A nursing care facility in Los Angeles, CA that provides routine nursing care to residents including the ill, aged, and infirm, with staff including Charge Nurses, RN Supervisors, Directors of Nurses, and Administrators, operating under established policies and procedures for quality resident care. A nursing assistant is responsible for providing routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. General duties include performing all assigned duties, making resident rounds every two hours, making beds, serving water, dressing residents, assisting with meals, feeding residents, preparing residents for activities, maintaining resident cleanliness, answering call lights, reporting complaints and hazards, and attending educational programs. Clinical responsibilities include proper handwashing, positioning residents, assisting with dental care, recording intake, assisting with bathroom needs, bathing residents, grooming, observing for skin breakdown, turning bedfast residents every two hours, and completing required documentation.
