Job Description

Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Director of Nursing at our Cedarhurst of Tesson Heights community. As the Director of Nursing, you will have the opportunity to connect with, and positively impact the lives of, our residents daily! You will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents in compliance with regulations and organizational goals. Working with the Executive Director, you will impact the lives of our residents by overseeing the delivery of quality care and services, developing and implementing nursing service objectives and policies, maintaining a safe working environment, providing nursing coverage and assistance, assessing residents for appropriate levels of care, managing and coordinating nursing and care staff, supervising medications, overseeing pharmacy relationships, providing documentation and attending care meetings, overseeing the clinical department, interviewing and training staff, holding service plan meetings, directing communication with surveyors, implementing ISPs and infection control policies, ensuring CLIA compliance, managing inventory, understanding clinical responsibilities, engaging in occupancy efforts, promoting resident wellbeing and independence, understanding Advance Directives, ensuring effective family communication, working well with others and managing conflict, and remaining flexible to work as Manager on Duty when necessary.
