The Cook uses their knowledge and experience in food production to ensure the proper, timely, and safe preparation and service of food according to established recipes, while adhering to all food safety and sanitation requirements and maintaining a safe and orderly kitchen. Responsible to effectively manage all food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator. Essential duties include ensuring high standards for food taste and quality, preparing and serving meals in a timely manner according to established recipes, utilizing production sheets to record food production quantities and temperatures, preparing required dietary modifications, maintaining clean kitchen and storage areas, complying with occupational health and safety requirements, performing dishwashing tasks, operating dish machines, performing light janitorial duties, cleaning kitchen equipment, and assisting with dining area service as needed.
