The Registered Nurse (RN) performs nursing functions within the scope of practice and provides and/or coordinates care and services to meet the residents' physical, psychosocial, and functional care needs. Key responsibilities include practicing nursing care within licensure scope, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, maintaining electronic medical records, observing resident status, maintaining a safe environment, overseeing certified staff, performing rounds, and reporting on incidents. The role requires RN licensure, graduation from an accredited nursing school, CPR certification, and preferred BSN and gerontological nursing experience. Physical requirements include lifting 30lbs and pushing/pulling 50lbs, with frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and stooping. The position involves working in various conditions including exposure to emotionally upset residents, potential fumes, infectious waste, and diseases, with work beyond normal hours and weekends as necessary.
