Job Description

A healthcare organization providing home care services that employs certified occupational therapy assistants and is supervised by registered occupational therapists, with a focus on patient rehabilitation and care coordination The certified occupational therapy assistant contracted through the Organization is responsible to the registered occupational therapist that is responsible for the implementation of standards of care for occupational therapy services and for adherence to all conditions outlined in the Service Agreement. The certified occupational therapy assistant performs only those services planned, delegated, and supervised by the registered occupational therapist. Essential job functions include participating in patient evaluation, teaching new skills, maintaining clinical records, following treatment programs, coordinating patient care, and instructing patients and families in treatment regimes.
