Job Description
Administers patient assessments, oversees the assessment process, sets assessment schedules, ensures assessments are accurate and timely. Coordinates care plans according to regulatory requirements. Creates Medicare and Medicaid schedules, starts Medicare coverage for new patients, sends denial letters, stays updated on Medicare coverage changes, and helps determine documents needed for Medicaid reimbursement. Directs day-to-day functions of nursing assistants in compliance with long-term care facility regulations. Ensures nursing personnel comply with facility policies, reviews department procedures, and makes recommendations for revisions.
