Perform treatments-administer medications, and/or implement other nursing interventions as indicated by the resident care plan or as ordered by the physician. Notify doctor timely as needed. Provide nursing care in accordance with acceptable infection control standards. Follow safety policies while performing nursing care. Initiate emergency measures according to facility policies and nursing practices. Maintain all documentation as required by federal and state regulations and facility policy. Maintain inventory of supplies and/or medications to meet the needs of the resident. Participate in assigned meetings and in-services and quality assurance meetings. Meet unit work goals through assignment of nursing assistants and resident care needs. Evaluate quality and quantity of resident care service by nursing assistants. Present professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech. Adhere to facility guidelines for resolving consumer concerns. Monitor that consumer/resident rights and privacy are protected.
