Job Description

Medicare/MDS Coordinator role within a long-term care nursing facility, responsible for resident assessment, care coordination, and ensuring compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing Services, the Medicare MDS Coordinator (RN Registered Nurse) is responsible for notifying and coordinating the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) for MDS assessment completion in accordance with State and Federal regulations. The role involves coordinating resident assessment processes, ensuring timely MDS assessments, developing care plans, implementing nursing interventions, maintaining documentation, and adhering to professional standards and regulations.
