We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dynamic team in Sausalito, California. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing dental hygiene services, including laser therapy and taking radiographs (X-rays), while providing exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities: Dental Hygiene Care: Perform a variety of clinical duties, including but not limited to cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to prevent oral diseases. Laser Treatment: Administer soft-tissue laser treatments for procedures such as gum disease management, pain relief, and tissue healing under the direction of the dentist. Radiographs (X-Rays): Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in diagnostic and treatment planning. Ensure that radiographs are clear, high-quality, and in compliance with safety protocols. Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and the importance of maintaining good oral health. Provide tailored advice based on individual needs. Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and charting, ensuring all treatments and procedures are well-documented in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines. Collaboration: Work closely with the dentist and the dental team to provide coordinated care. Communicate with patients and staff in a professional, empathetic, and efficient manner. Qualifications: License: Active, valid California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license. Laser Certification: Certification or training in dental laser therapy (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Radiology Certification: Must be certified to take radiographs in California. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental hygienist, with prior experience in performing laser treatments and radiographic imaging preferred. Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to educate patients on treatment options. Detail-oriented with excellent clinical skills and proficiency in the use of dental technologies. Additional Requirements: CPR/BLS certification, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
