Licensed Practical Nurses are responsible for admitting new residents, helping physicians during rounds, delegating duties to nursing staff, monitoring resident care, performing health assessments, and explaining procedures and treatment protocols to residents. LPNs perform specimen collection, administer basic IV therapy under supervision, assist in discharge planning, provide nursing care for specialized treatments, support occupational health programs, manage medical equipment, and demonstrate proficiency in medical techniques such as aseptic procedures and suture removal."
