We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Unit Manager to oversee the daily operations of a designated nursing unit within our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). The Unit Manager will ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, manage nursing staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide excellent patient outcomes. This is an essential leadership role that requires a commitment to excellence, effective communication, and a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Staff Supervision & Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of nurses, nursing assistants, and support staff. Ensure proper staffing levels and coordinate with human resources to manage shifts, absences, and employee performance. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team development and improve patient care. Clinical Care Delivery: Oversee the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans for residents. Ensure that care practices align with resident needs and current industry standards, meeting regulatory requirements. Monitor patient progress, assess health conditions, and adjust care plans as needed. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensing requirements, including federal and state healthcare regulations (e.g., CMS, OSHA, HIPAA). Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions when necessary to enhance care delivery and resident satisfaction. Conduct routine audits to evaluate care documentation, medication administration, and treatment protocols. Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for residents. Participate in family meetings and provide updates on resident care plans and progress. Address and resolve resident and family concerns promptly and professionally. Education & Training: Provide ongoing education and training for staff on best practices, clinical procedures, and regulatory changes. Stay current on the latest trends and developments in long-term care and skilled nursing. Operational Efficiency: Manage the unit's daily operations, including inventory, equipment, and supply management. Ensure that the unit is properly maintained and that infection control procedures are strictly followed. Assist with budget management and ensure appropriate resource utilization. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) with current, active licensure in [State].
